Clearance Sale

Big clearance sale starting December 1st. 30% off storewide (excludes papercraft kits, special orders and Bazzill cardstock). We have decided to close our store front and will open an online store. We will continue to have classes and crops locally, we are working on finding a venue for these. Kenai High School Craft Fair, Nov. 25th & 26th

Scrapaholics will have a booth at the Kenai High School craft fair this year on November 25th & 26th. We will have both kits and pre-assembled items for sale. Our booth is located in the front entrance commons area. Stop by and see us and pick up some great Christmas gifts for your family and friends!

October Crops

We have two crops scheduled for October.

Our first is Croptoberfest on Saturday, October 15th from 10 am til 10 pm. Join us for 12 hours of fun, games, prizes and scrappin! Cost is only $30 per person and lunch, dinner and snacks are included. Just bring your favorite drink(s).

Friday, October 21st is PMS Nite! (Pizza, margaritas and scrapbooking) This is a 6 hour crop, from 5 pm til 11 pm. Margaritas are on the house! (We will offer non-alcoholic for those without a designated driver.) Cost is only $20 per person.

Space is limited, so sign up early to reserve your table. Prepayment is required to hold your spot.

September Crops

We have two more crops scheduled for September.
On Saturday, September 24th, there is an all-day crop scheduled, this goes from 10 am until 10 pm. Cost is only $30 and includes lunch and dinner. For an additional $5 you can sign up to do our post-it note holder make-n-take.
We also have a Friday Nite Crop scheduled on September 30th. This is from 5 pm til 11 pm and includes dinner. Cost is only $15.

Flower Technique Class 9/27/2011

Flower Technique Class Tuesday, Sept. 27th from 11 am til 2 pm. Learn how to make various roses and flowers to create this beautiful layout. Scrapaholics will have a booth at the Soldotna Progress Days Vendor Fair at Soldotna Creek Park this Saturday, July 23rd, from 10 am til 4 pm. Stop by and see us!

Quilting on the Kenai

This year Scrapaholics is participating in the Quilting on the Kenai Quilt Walk. The Quilt Walk starts June 10th and runs through June 25th. Stop by and pick up your passport and check out the beautiful quilt we have displayed in our store.

You will need to have your passport stamped at all participating businesses and drop off the completed passport at Robin Place Fabric or bring it to the Fashion Show on Saturday, 6/25 at 7 pm at Soldotna Church of God for a chance to win some great prizes. You do not need to be present to win.

You do not need to be a quilter to participate, you just need to enjoy looking at all the beautiful creations and you must like to win great prizes!

TOILET PAPER ROLL MINI ALBUM CONTEST

The contest for May is a toilet paper roll mini album with the theme "Happiness is..."

(Sorry for above picture, no matter what I tried it comes up sideways!) :(

You will create an album that showcases what makes you happy in this life, it can be the big things, such as your family, down to the simple things in life, like your morning cup of coffee.

In this kit you will receive four empty toilet paper rolls, four 6x12 pieces of double-sided paper, three 6x12 and two 6x6 pieces of coordinating cardstock, a "happiness is..." stamped image and 5 pieces of coordinating ribbon (not shown in photo).

You must use some of all the elements provided in the kit, but for this contest you are given the creative freedom to add your own elements, i.e., pictures, stamped images, embellishments, etc.

Kits are available now and completed albums will be due back on Saturday, May 21st.

Albums will be on display for judging Wednesday, May 25th through Tuesday, May 31st.

Winner will receive a $10 store credit and thier next contest kit free!

Below is a quick tutorial on how to cover your toilet paper rolls:

Toilet paper rolls are different lengths, so measure the length of yours. Mine measured 4-5/16", so I cut a piece of paper that was 4-5/16 x 6 inches, see below.

Before applying adhesive I wrapped the toilet paper roll with the paper, lightly creasing at folds, this helps with placement later.

Apply adhesive all the way around the backside of paper, and add a few pieces in the middle to keep the paper in place, see above.

Wrap paper around toilet paper roll, overlapping edges in back. (If you look close you can see where my paper overlaps)
